VP, Strategy and IP Consulting – Berggren Oy – Työpaikat


In this role, you will be in a pivotal role to impact our clients’ business success, strengthen our advisory capabilities and drive the open-minded growth culture across our organisation.  You will serve as a strategic ally and dependable advisor for our clients in Finland and abroad while taking the overall P/L responsibility for Berggren’s consulting business – always fostering a positive and productive culture. As we are stepping into our new strategy period, it’s an exciting time to join us with the opportunity to further develop our company, and to help shape and create advisory services that maximise the value of our clients’ intellectual property (IP) assets You will be located in our Helsinki, Oulu, Tampere or Turku office in Finland, and you will report to CEO and be member of the Berggren Leadership Team.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and implement our long- and short-term strategy to drive the growth and success of Berggren’s Strategy & IP consulting business.
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance on IP asset management and other consulting services supporting clients’ business objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, both in Finland and internationally.
  • Oversee the financial performance of the consulting business, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Collaborate with other service areas within Berggren to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
  • Drive the development and enhancement of our cross-organisational advisory capabilities, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our clients.
  • Represent Berggren at industry events and conferences, building and maintaining a strong professional network.
  • Actively build and further develop Berggren’s advisory profile relevant in the context of clients’ business development, growth strategies and long-term success.
  • Leading a team of 5-6 people + potential recruitments

What we are looking for

We are looking for a customer-oriented, sales-experienced, and team-inspiring business leader. A person who will take charge of leading this service area’s business and has genuine passion and enthusiasm for the role.   • Master´s Degree with major in Tech / Strategy / Business
  • Strategic and commercial experience and business orientation gained through work experience.
  • Strong professional skills and proven experience in strategic consulting (consulting firm, in-house consulting / strategy role, business development role)
  • Proven track record in business development and renewal (vision and thinking)
  • At least basic knowledge of IP and legal services, plus appetite to learn more
  • Proven track record in active sales and delivery of successful solutions for clients’ needs
  • Strong business acumen. Ability to understand the customer’s business and identify opportunities for offering development.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence (inspiring and convincing)
  • Desire to lead people and to succeed together
  • Experience in international work and networks
  • Language skills: fluent Finnish and English
