About the role
As a Test Engineer, you will engage with test automation in various ways. Your responsibilities will include designing new test methods, enhancing existing test systems, and continuously improving testing processes. On a daily basis, you’ll explore new technologies, identify potential failure points, and create and implement test scenarios, primarily using Python. Additionally, you’ll maintain and develop test systems and handle small electronics tasks such as tracing wiring and establishing connections. You will be part of the Weather Stations software team consisting of 10+, highly skilled professionals. Together with the team, you will have an excellent opportunity to develop a groundbreaking platform for different meteorological and weather-related applications.

Work tasks
- Plan and develop well-structured and maintainable automated test cases.
- Maintain test suite’s quality and coverage.
- Participate in the improvement and maintenance the team’s CI/CD environment.
We are looking for
- Excellent skills in Python
- Experience with some frameworks. Robot Framework, Pytest, Unittest, etc.
- Knowledge of manual and automated software testing.
- Hands-on experience with Linux
- Fluency in English
- The person selected for the position must have a valid work permit for Finland.
Skills and competence that are seen as a plus:
- Basic electronics and networking skills.
- Previous experience of working with embedded devices
- Basic understanding of Git and experience with JIRA or other tools for Agile SW development.
