Team Leader – Process engineering, Valmet – Tampere

Valmet’s Stock Preparation & Recycled Fiber Business Unit delivers the most advanced equipment and processes in its field for applications in the paper, board, tissue and textile industries.

With the help of stock preparation and recycled fiber technologies, our customers have high utilization rates of recycled materials in their end products. Recycled materials typically include cardboard, paper and textiles.

 

We are now looking for a team leader for process engineering for customer projects in Tampere or Jyväskylä. Your job description will include guiding the process engineering team’s work, resourcing and supporting customer projects. In addition, the job includes supporting sales and other functions in process engineering and serving as the chief engineer in selected delivery projects. Operational development and guidance are part of the job.

 

To succeed in this role

We require you to have a suitable engineering degree, as well as knowledge of stock preparation and recycled fiber processes, equipment, and projects. Previous experience as a chief engineer or team leader, as well as in process engineering and the use of the related methods and applications, is an advantage. We appreciate knowledge of modern engineering applications and balance calculation. Knowledge of mill project sections is also an advantage in the job. The scope of the projects varies from individual pieces of our equipment to EPC deliveries of mill lines.

 

In the job and its content, we take into account your previous experience, strengths and interests in process technology. The most important aspects are your desire to become part of our team of top professionals and your enthusiasm for new challenges. Fluent knowledge of English and Finnish is essential for the job.
