We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Controller (or Junior Controller) to join our Group Finance team on a fixed-term contract until September 2026. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in group-level financial reporting within a publicly listed Finnish company.

As a Controller in Lamor Group Finance team, you will be a key player in the monthly and quarterly financial consolidation and reporting processes. Ideal candidate has a solid understanding of IFRS and Finnish Accounting Standards, a basic grasp of group consolidation, and a strong interest in developing their skills and experience in financial control and reporting. The specific duties and responsibilities, as well as the salary, will be tailored to align with the skills, experience, and competencies of the selected candidate.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reports
  • Support the consolidation process and help ensure accurate and timely reporting in accordance with IFRS
  • Contribute to the preparation of statutory financial statements in line with IFRS and Finnish Accounting Standards (FAS)
  • Collaborate with local finance teams to collect, validate, and analyze financial data
  • Participate in internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to queries
  • Assist in internal reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities
  • Help identify opportunities for process improvement and support the implementation of best practices in financial reporting

You will report to hiring manager Tomi Marttila, Group Financial Controller

Employment type: Fixed-Term until September 2026 (parental leave replacement)

Location: Our headquarters is based in Porvoo, Finland however, we provide the flexibility of hybrid work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or soon graduating)
  • Good knowledge of IFRS and Finnish Accounting Standards
  • Basic understanding of group consolidation principles
  • Prior experience or internship in accounting, auditing, or financial reporting is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP or consolidation systems is an advantage
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Language Requirements

  • English is the working language (fluent in both written and spoken form)
  • Ability to speak and understand Finnish or Swedish is highly beneficial

Tehtäviisi kuuluvat vastuullesi nimettyjen konsernien kuukausittainen konsernikirjanpito ja raportointi sekä yhtiöiden tilinpäätöksistä ja viranomaisraportoinneista vastaaminen.

Toivomme, että sinulla on kaupallista koulutusta ja kokemusta konsernilaskennasta ja IFRS-raportoinnista. Aikaisempi kokemus asunto- ja kiinteistöyhtiöiden kirjanpidosta katsotaan eduksi. Hyvä Excel-osaaminen on välttämättömyys.

Työskentelet itsenäisesti aikatauluissa pysyen ja kommunikoit aktiivisesti kollegoiden ja muiden sidosryhmien kanssa. Financial Manager position

We are seeking an experienced CFO to lead our financial strategy and operations. The Financial Manager will play a key role in supporting the organization’s growth, sustainability, and compliance, acting as a strategic partner to the Managing Director and Supervisory Board. This role includes financial planning and analysis, reporting, budgeting, risk management, audit coordination, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Defining and implementing the company’s financial strategy aligned with overall business objectives. Providing financial insights to support decision-making at the executive and board level.
  • Preparing and presenting consolidated financial statements. Ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant reporting.
  • Proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks impacting company performance.
  • Leading the planning and execution of annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with the leadership team.
  • Preparing and presenting management reports, comparing actual and forecasted results, analyzing variances and identifying underlying causes and mitigation actions.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial, tax, and securities regulations.
  • Overseeing accounting and financial documentation. Preparing timely financial reports and ensuring appropriate data archiving.
  • Maintaining transparent and regular communication with the supervisory board, shareholders, and senior leadership on financial matters.
  • Ensuring the submission of the company’s annual report in accordance with legal deadlines.
  • Monitoring and ensuring adherence to environmental regulations and permit conditions relevant to the company’s terminals.
  • Operating in accordance with company policies, code of conduct, and agreed internal procedures.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Accounting and Finance or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in finance, with leadership responsibility
  • Extensive experience in financial reporting, MIS reporting, and audits
  • Understanding of commercial banking principles, group-level finance, and financial due diligence
  • Full professional proficiency in Finnish and English
  • Advanced Excel, financial modeling, and reporting tool proficiency
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills

The work can primarily be done remotely, but, when necessary, on-site presence in Hamina is required.
