We are now looking for a full-time EXPERIENCED  SOFTWARE CONSULTANT to join Novatron’s Expert Services organization.

The position starts by agreement, with Pirkkala as your primary work location.
In this role the applicant will be working with our Expert Services customers and while there is no direct consultation work to be done he/she will be working with our own products. Work role can be tailored as per personal interests which support both personal growth and company targets. Some development work will be conducted on-site, where our labs and measurement equipment are available. However, the work can be performed both remotely and on-site, depending on the task and agreement.

What will your role entail?

 

You will work mainly for our newly established consultation business unit, Expert Services. You have a unique opportunity to participate on creating the Novatron’s Expert Services the best place to work! However, we are not only restricted on the consultation business but there is possibility to work also as part of our Machine Control Products and XSITE Manage teams. The Machine Control team develops software for Novatron’s sensors, controllers, and displays, focusing heavily on various bus systems and communication stacks. The Manage team creates software that connects machine control systems, users, and measurement data into a single platform.

Your responsibilities will include software development for our Expert Services customers and for our own products. We have extensive knowledge on the kinematics chain and the best knowledge of positioning for the machine control systems. Our customers are happiest users of Machine Control systems. We are proud of our products and our work.

Prior knowledge on the machine control systems is a big plus. Generally we are looking a people person whom has embedded Software Senior Developer skills. Working with the customers gives you a joy. You shine when you have a chance to help our customers. You will be collaborating with our own and customer’s developers and other product development teams, so strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset are needed.

What do we expect from you?

  • 8+ years of work experience
  • Proficiency in C++ / C
  • Proven experience in working with and debugging various communication protocols (such as CAN, UART, SPI, I2C) using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure robust and efficient data exchange.
  • Software development skills for Linux environments
  • Basic knowledge of CI systems like Jenkins
  • Ability to mentor colleagues in your areas of expertise
  • Initiative and self-driven attitude
  • Proficiency in Git version control
  • Language skills: Finnish, English
