We are now looking for a Senior Manager, Industrial Engineering to Metso Aggregates business area to join our Plant management team in Tampere. In this position, you will be responsible for development projects, including operational improvement projects and new product development. This is a unique opportunity as we are currently developing a new product family and have started building a new factory.  

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

 

In this role, you are responsible for Plant development projects. You are responsible for ensuring that the targets of the projects are reached on schedule and within the budget. You are supporting and challenging factory and manufacturing teams as an expert in your field to reach productivity targets and continuously improve the productivity of operations. You will also conduct systematic analyses and define the potential standard hours reduction with your team.

Most of the work is related to Tampere Plant operations, but you will also collaborate actively with your colleagues in other Aggregates plants in operative and strategic projects.

 

To succeed

To be successful in this role, you must have a suitable educational background, e.g., an M.Sc. in Engineering. You already have several years of experience developing and/or leading assembly operations in a complex environment, and you have proven results. You are capable of translating development potential to different stakeholders. You are familiar with working methods development, including tools and manufacturing quality assurance process development. You have excellent problem-solving skills and expertise in using Lean tools. 

 

You are self-driven and goal-oriented, with good leadership skills. You have a systematic and continuous improvement mindset, and you are also resilient in your work. As you will be working with different stakeholders, both internally and externally, you have excellent communication, social, and change management skills, and you are fluent in Finnish and English.
