About your role
Do you want to be part of building the well-being of tomorrow? We are looking for a Project Manager to a permanent position in the Global Operations Project Management Office at Orion.
The position is permanent, and you will work at either Orion’s Turku, Espoo or Salo office. Orion offers hybrid work possibility, but office presence is expected for majority of the time. Your main language at work is Finnish, so we require fluent Finnish skills.
Your key responsibilities
- Your responsibilities will include managing projects within the Global Operations area. These projects are primarily technical projects involving equipment investments, equipment modernizations, and facility changes. Additionally, you will be responsible for operational development associated with these projects, as well as product transfers.
- As a project manager, you are responsible for all aspects of the project from creating the business case facilitating business benefits identification, defining the scope and schedule, planning the budget and resources, to delivering the project using our project management methodologies and model.
- You will plan and execute projects according to set goals, ensuring they are delivered on time and within agreed scope and budget.
- You utilize project management tools efficiently in projects and participate in the development of project and portfolio management methods.
- You will report on projects to steering and decision-making forums and lead active risk management to minimize project risks.

Our expectations
- Relevant education, e.g., a technical university degree
- Previous experience and track record in managing large technical investment projects
- Successful performance in this role requires experience in pharmaceutical production processes as well as in supply chain investment projects.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills and ability to work with different people
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- Fluent in Finnish and English, both spoken and written, because we are working with both languages
- We expect you to have a valid work permit in Finland

Unit description
Orion’s Global Operations covers the entire pharmaceutical manufacturing process, from sourcing of raw materials to the manufacture of products, packaging and delivery to customers. We are also responsible for the industrialization of new products and product life cycle management.
In Global Operations we have approximately 1,600 professionals working in Production, our external supplier network (Externally Sourced Operations) and Fermion Oy (API manufacturing and marketing). In addition, the organization includes Supply Chain & Procurement, Technical Operations, Facility Management, EHS (Environment, Health and Safety), CPD&LCM (Commercial Product Development & Product lifecycle management) and Operations Development.
