Pricing Strategy Manager, IF Vahinkovakuutus – Oslo

Do you get excited when the strategy you’ve helped shape improves both customer experience and the bottom line?

… then you might be our new colleague in the Pricing & Analytics unit. Great pricing combines risk insight, mathematical models, customer needs, and market dynamics. Great pricing is essential to delivering on our ambitions: ensuring fair pricing, avoiding underpriced segments, and balancing growth with profitability in smart, customer-friendly ways.

About the Role

We’re now looking for a Pricing Strategy Manager who wants to be hands-on in shaping our strategy and our way of working. We believe you thrive while developing strategy through collaboration – and that you can make complex topics clear and engaging. You’ll lead key strategy processes from idea to execution, ensuring initiatives not only make it to slides – but that they deliver results. You’ll contribute to continuous organizational development and bring a clear and inspiring voice from the team across to the wider If organization.

You’ll experience

  • The opportunity to influence how we work with pricing and analytics across the organization and to influence decision making at senior levels

  • A culture where insight and collaboration matter more than hierarchy

  • Close cooperation with analysts, data scientists and leadership

  • A role that combines strategy, communication, and project management

We Offer

In the same way that we place high demands on you as an employee, we also expect you to place high demands on us as an employer.
Here are some of the benefits of working at If:

  • An including work environment where everyone is welcome

  • Career and development opportunities in the biggest insurance company in the Nordics

  • Social activities, as well as highly skilled professional environment

  • Possibility of hybrid workplace

  • Health promoting workplace with e.g., wellness allowance and various sports activities

  • Great insurance benefits

About the team

You’ll join our highly skilled pricing and analytics department, working across our Motor, Property, and Personal insurances and across the Nordic markets for Private customers. We are a part of Product & Price, which is also responsible for the P&L, for the customer offering as a whole and for coordination in each local market. We’re a highly competent and engaged community that values both technical excellence and curiosity. Many of your colleagues will have doctorates and be specialized in fields such as actuarial mathematics, data science and artificial intelligence. We collaborate closely with our sister departments in the Baltics and in Hastings (UK insurer) and we are constantly evolving how we work and what we work on.

Who Are You?

You’re someone who carries a strong sense of responsibility-people know they can count on you to deliver, whether you’re working solo or as part of a team. Your curiosity will drive you to explore and understand the complex world of insurance risk pricing. Colleagues appreciate your thoughtful perspectives, your proactive mindset, and the clarity with which you communicate. When you spot opportunities to improve or grow-whether for yourself or those around you-you don’t hesitate to act. You are inspired by the chance to create insurance solutions that make a difference.

You also have:

We believe you’ll thrive in this role if you have…

  • Experience in strategy development, implementation, and execution – ideally from insurance, finance, technology, or consulting

  • Strong track record of leading projects and aligning diverse teams, translating between technical specialists and business needs.

  • Higher education in finance, business, science, or a related field

  • Fluent in English and proficient in a Nordic language
