We are now looking for a NORDIC FINANCIAL CONTROLLER to join our European finance team.
Purpose of this role is to ensure the effective management of the accounting, reporting, legal and tax affairs of a number of legal entities within the Formica Europe Nordic region. You are supported by the Financial Administration European team and you are reporting to European Head of Finance. Formica has the factory in Kolho and when working there the employer will arrange the accommodation. You will work in close cooperation with the Plant Controller, Pricing Manager and the Supply Chain Analyst, all within the Control Framework and using the tools in the Broadview Business system.
Your responsibilities are:
- Weekly 8-week Cashflow forecast
- Monthly reporting to Group Controller for each country within the region
- Take ownership & control of the Balance Sheet and P&L’s of assigned entities
- Maintain strong knowledge of the financial performance of assigned entities
- Ensure statutory, legal and tax compliance, leading relationships with professional advisers – tax,
- audit, legal
- Prepare statutory accounts for the respective legal entities (Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark)
- Support monthly and annual forecasting and planning processes
- Work with transactional team to ensure process compliance and enhancements where possible
- Support European Head of Finance (NL) and also Regional Sales Manager (FI), Country Manager (SE) and Plant Manager (FI)
Qualifications:
- Suitable degree (e.g. Financials, Accounting)
- Experience in accounting, financial controlling, financial reporting
- Good knowledge of profit and loss statements
- Excellent organizational and communication (written and oral) skills
- Some level of experience from Scandinavian Finance is an advantage
- Previous experience in production company is an advantage
- Willingness to travel occasionally (Europe, Kolho)
- Fluent in Finnish and English
