Mechanical Engineer – Advanced ALD Business Unit

We’re looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join the Spatial Atomic Layer Deposition – SALD team. You’ll take ownership of the design, development, and optimization of mechanical components and systems for ALD tools—ensuring they are robust, manufacturable, and high-performing. The role involves close collaboration across disciplines to support next-gen solutions for the semiconductor industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical parts and enclosures using 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor, CATIA, NX), ensuring compliance with functional and regulatory standards
  • Create technical documentation and support design reviews
  • Prototype, test, and analyze components (stress, thermal, tolerance)
  • Support root cause analysis and product improvements
  • Optimize designs for manufacturability; collaborate with production and supply chain
  • Evaluate materials and components for cost-effectiveness and performance
  • Ensure smooth integration with automation, software, and electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support field/customer cases
  • Maintain compliance with ISO, CE, and safety standards

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical design or manufacturing engineering
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (Autodesk INventor, CATIA, NX, etc.)
  • Experience with FEA, CFD, thermal analysis
  • Solid knowledge of materials, tolerances, and common manufacturing methods
  • Familiarity with relevant mechanical safety standards
