Oletko koskaan kuullut sanan tekoäly? Se voi kuulostaa vähän pelottavalta – ihan kuin robotti tulisi viemään paikkamme. Mutta ei hätää! Tekoäly ei korvaa meitä ihmisiä. Se on ennemminkin vähän kuin viisas kaveri, joka osaa antaa hyviä vinkkejä ja auttaa meitä tekemään asioita paremmin.

Kuvittele, että sinulla on koulussa läksy, jonka tekeminen on tosi hankalaa. Ystäväsi voi neuvoa sinua, mutta sinä itse kirjoitat vastaukset vihkoon. Tekoäly toimii samalla tavalla. Se voi ehdottaa sanoja tai järjestää ajatuksia, mutta sinä päätät, mitä kirjoitat.

Miten tekoäly auttaa työnhaussa?

Aikuiset, etsiessään töitä, kirjoittavat CV:n. Se sisältää heidän taidot ja kokemukset. Heidän on myös kirjoitettava hakemuskirje. Siinä selitetään, miksi haluaa juuri tuon työn.

Tekoäly voi auttaa esimerkiksi:

-Miten asiat laitetaan selkeään järjestykseen
-Miten parantaa tekstiä niin, että se kuulostaa sujuvalta
-Se voi antaa ideoita, mitä asioita kannattaa nostaa esille

Mutta muista: tekoäly ei tiedä, millainen ihminen sinä oikeasti olet. Se ei tunne sinun unelmiasi tai kokemuksiasi. Siksi on tärkeää, että luet ehdotukset läpi ja muokkaat niitä niin, että ne kuulostavat sinulta.

Tekoäly on työkalu, ei taikakone.

ChatGPT on yksi tunnetuimmista tekoälyistä. Sen kanssa voi jutella kuin ystävän kanssa. Se voi antaa neuvoja, mutta ei tee kaikkea puolestasi. Ajattele, että tekoäly on kuin polkupyörän apupyörät – se tukee ja auttaa, mutta sinä olet se, joka polkee ja päättää, minne mennään.

Viisi helppoa vinkkiä, miten tekoälyä voi käyttää työnhaussa:

1. CV:n rakentaminen

Tekoäly voi ehdottaa, mitä asioita kannattaa laittaa alkuun, jotta ne näkyvät heti.

2. CV:n muokkaaminen eri töihin.

Jokainen työ on hieman erilainen. Tekoäly voi auttaa löytämään juuri ne taidot, joita tarvitaan.

4. Työhaastattelun harjoittelu.

Tekoäly voi kysyä sinulta kysymyksiä. Voit harjoitella vastauksiasi etukäteen.

– Haastattelussa voit myös kysyä itse. Tekoäly voi auttaa sinua keksimään hyviä kysymyksiä yrityksestä tai työstä.

Muista aina tämä

Our projects cover a wide spectrum of advanced topics, including IFRS transitions, complex group consolidations, IPO Readiness and IPO Due Diligence projects, prospectus preparation, business combinations, and application of standards as a part of our audit services.

Lead major projects such as IFRS transitions, IPO readiness, and financial reporting improvements.

Act as the go-to specialist on complex IFRS standards, including revenue recognition, financial instruments, lease accounting, and business combinations.

Provide technical advice and solving challenging tasks like purchase price allocations and pro forma financial statements.

Collaborate with clients to ensure IFRS compliance and supporting sustainability reporting initiatives.

Mentor junior team members and contributing to business development through client proposals and service expansion

And if you’re ready to take it further: this role can go well beyond project delivery. As a Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to shape and lead the future of BDO’s financial reporting advisory business. You can take ownership of growth planning: identifying market needs, designing new service offerings, targeting key client segments, and engaging directly with CFOs and decision-makers.

For example, you might take the lead on how we bring a new IFRS standard to market – from awareness and education to project delivery and follow-up analysis. That could include launching client surveys, helping companies assess their readiness, and publishing an impact study in on how IFRS has been implemented in Finland. This role offers a broader and more entrepreneurial scope than traditional technical roles – ideal for someone who enjoys building as much as advising.

If you’re in the earlier stages of your career but passionate about financial reporting and eager to grow into an IFRS expert, we have a place for you too. In our BDO Consulting team, you’ll gain valuable hands-on experience in IFRS transitions, IPO-related deliverables, and business combination analysis.

As a Senior Associate, you will:

Participate in IFRS advisory projects, including financial statement reviews and process improvement initiatives.

Support exciting assignments like purchase price allocations (PPAs) and pro forma financial statements, along with their regulatory requirements.

Contribute to larger projects such as preparing prospectuses, technical memos, and client deliverables.

Get a first look at sustainability reporting and help clients align ESG considerations with financial disclosures.

Our BDO Consulting team currently consists of 15 experienced professionals and future stars in IFRS, financial reporting more generally and sustainability advisory (yes, also strategic advisory). Your success and development will be supported by our local BDO team of experts as well as our international network. BDO’s other advisory services offer a wide range of professionals to provide support and advice on other specific financial or regulatory issues.

About you

You will thrive in this role if you have strong experience in IFRS analysis in an audit firm or external accounting for a listed company and enjoy working on a variety of projects in a constantly changing environment.

We also value:

Enthusiasm for diverse work and a strong desire to develop broadly in IFRS and sustainability reporting

Proven experience in consulting projects, especially as a project manager

Background in financial reporting or sustainability consulting

Strong organizational and teamwork skills

Excellent communication and presentation abilities in both Finnish and English

Relevant university degree

For the Senior Associate role, you should have a university degree in economics along with a couple of years of relevant work experience. Above all, we expect you to enjoy working on IFRS issues and have an enthusiasm for learning new things and developing your skills.
