We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Head of Fabrication to join our team. This pivotal role involves overseeing wafer-level and chip-scale production and related process development, as well as managing cleanroom production equipment maintenance and control.

The ideal candidate will be particularly strong in establishing and maintaining efficient processes, communication channels, and feedback loops, ensuring seamless operations and continuous improvement. Additionally, a focus on fostering cross-team collaboration is essential for this role.

What will I be doing?

  • Set goals for teams in alignment with the company’s strategy and targets. Support teams to ensure department goals are met.
  • Lead the transition towards Operational Excellence.
  • Design policies and new operative processes (in lieu to manufacturing processes) to improve quality, productivity, or profitability.
  • Lead chip production process development from R&D to transfer to production
  • Create and implement maintenance strategies in cooperation with the maintenance team leader.
  • Manage contracts and relationships with internal customers, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Analyze productivity data and optimize staffing and production capacity.
  • Lead quality assurance efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international laws, regulations, and technology trends.
  • Follow up and further develop yield and other metrics for reporting.
  • Evaluate risks and suggest improvements with follow-up implementation.
  • Budget and follow-up on costs for chip production and cleanroom maintenance.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire new employees.
  • Provide staff training and skill development.
  • Support, supervise, motivate, and mentor staff to achieve productivity and engagement.

What skills do I need?

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in microelectronics production, nanofabrication, or cleanroom management in an industrial setup.
  • Academic degree in mathematics, natural sciences, manufacturing, or engineering with relevant work experience.
  • Proven leadership and people management capabilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and fabrication experience.
  • Excellent time and self-management.
  • Analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making.
  • Solution-oriented problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and MES software.
  • Good understanding of safety regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
