Global Key User & HR Specialist, Workday Integrations

We are seeking an experienced Workday Integration specialist to join our Global People, Safety & Culture team at Ponsse. We have recently launched Workday globally for 12 countries and now we are focusing on integrating the system with other important applications. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that our Workday platform seamlessly integrates with diverse applications, providing smooth and efficient experience for all users.
Our development roadmap for the upcoming year includes a series of new integrations. You will play a crucial role in defining business needs, identifying automation use cases, participating in testing, and ensuring that automation supports the entire end-to-end process both on a systems level and more importantly, in human hands. Once we successfully transition these integrations to production, your responsibilities will include monitoring, managing change requests, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. Your proactive approach in these areas will be essential in maintaining the system’s data security and functionality.
Collaboration will be at the heart of your role, as you work closely with our global People team, IT team, and other departments to align our system capabilities with our business goals. Your experience in a global context and strong background in Workday configuration and administration will make you an important member of our team.
- Integrate Workday with other systems and applications, managing process, documentation related.
- Leading integration change request process and co-operate with IT and third parties if needed.
- Monitor and troubleshoot integration issues with IT colleagues and external providers.
- Analyze data to enable decision-making.
- Ensure proper authorization levels and data protection measures are maintained.
- Plan and execute Workday release updates to minimize disruption to users.
- Conduct thorough testing of new features and updates before implementation.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and customizations.
- Develop the system further by defining business needs and translating them into Workday configurations.
- Collaborate closely with the People team, IT, and other departments to align business needs with system capabilities.
- Several years of experience with HR systems in a global context.
- Strong experience in Workday configuration and administration.
- Experience with Workday integration applications and working together with middleware solution owners.
- A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in business administration or equivalent.
- Knowledge of data mapping, business process frameworks, and workflow design.
- Familiarity with EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder) and integration techniques.
- Fluency in English and Finnish required; other languages are a benefit.
- Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Proactive, team player, creative, and able to take initiative.

You will be part of the team called Data, Reporting, and Tools inside People, Safety & Culture Team. Data, Reporting and Tools team is aiming to create a durable base to support global people processes and data management. We are working in a hybrid working model with negotiable locations. In Finland we have offices for example in Vieremä, Iisalmi, Tampere, Turku, Kuopio, Kajaani. This role will require some travel.
