Financial Manager position
We are seeking an experienced CFO to lead our financial strategy and operations. The Financial Manager will play a key role in supporting the organization’s growth, sustainability, and compliance, acting as a strategic partner to the Managing Director and Supervisory Board. This role includes financial planning and analysis, reporting, budgeting, risk management, audit coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Defining and implementing the company’s financial strategy aligned with overall business objectives. Providing financial insights to support decision-making at the executive and board level.
- Preparing and presenting consolidated financial statements. Ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant reporting.
- Proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks impacting company performance.
- Leading the planning and execution of annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with the leadership team.
- Preparing and presenting management reports, comparing actual and forecasted results, analyzing variances and identifying underlying causes and mitigation actions.
- Ensuring compliance with financial, tax, and securities regulations.
- Overseeing accounting and financial documentation. Preparing timely financial reports and ensuring appropriate data archiving.
- Maintaining transparent and regular communication with the supervisory board, shareholders, and senior leadership on financial matters.
- Ensuring the submission of the company’s annual report in accordance with legal deadlines.
- Monitoring and ensuring adherence to environmental regulations and permit conditions relevant to the company’s terminals.
- Operating in accordance with company policies, code of conduct, and agreed internal procedures.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Accounting and Finance or related field
- 5+ years of experience in finance, with leadership responsibility
- Extensive experience in financial reporting, MIS reporting, and audits
- Understanding of commercial banking principles, group-level finance, and financial due diligence
- Full professional proficiency in Finnish and English
- Advanced Excel, financial modeling, and reporting tool proficiency
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
The work can primarily be done remotely, but, when necessary, on-site presence in Hamina is required.
