Financial Controller, Nokian Tyres – Nokia

We are strengthening our accounting team in Nokia and now searching new finance professional to join our Group Finance team in our head office in Nokia, Finland.

As a Financial Controller you will play a key role in financial reporting and controlling of Nokian Tyres Group. You will be part of Group’s global finance team preparing and supporting in subsidiaries globally. 

You will work closely together with business control team and other stakeholders. We expect you to have experience in working in a challenging, international business environment and you have an ability and motivation to drive continuous improvement. You have open-minded approach and self-driven working style. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Participate in monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting (including asset accounting, inventory accounting, taxation etc.) and closing
  • Provide financial analysis and reconciliation 
  • Ensure accuracy of financial records, financial closing, and reporting 
  • Ensure the correctness of figures by controlling and analyzing the account information and results
  • Oversee and lead the annual closing, statutory financial reporting and audit process for your company
  • Develop and harmonize global financial processes, policies, and quality of operations
  • Participate development and automation activities in accounting and finance
  • Attend to tax issues to optimize tax costs and support tax team in tax reporting 

What we expect from you:

  • Applicable education, e.g., Master’s degree in accounting 
  • Work experience in similar field of responsibility area
  • Knowledge in accounting, taxation and reporting processes is required, IFRS is an advantage
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience from creating and developing new reporting tools
  • Good team-working and communication skills both in English and Finnish, other languages are considered an advantage 
  • Analytical developer mindset to improve and harmonize processes
  • Ability to work under pressure and responsibility
  • Compliance with policies, processes and procedures is obvious to you
