We are currently looking for a Financial Controller to work in a key role in the financial management of our client, Terramare. You will be responsible for external accounting tasks and have the opportunity to utilize your expertise in e.g. financial statements, consolidation, and reporting. You will have the chance to expand your skills in an international, financially stable company and work with a variety of stakeholders in different countries. This role is based at the Espoo office in Keilaniemi. 

Boskalis Terramare has versatile know-how in all aspects of marine construction. They have over 100 colleagues working in Finland. About your role as a Financial Controller:

▪️ A key part of your role will be consisting of monitoring and controlling cash flow and financial status and forecasts (incl. AR & AP, intercompany transactions, etc). At Terramare, you’ll be working in a project-type business and prior background in this kind of environment will be useful in this role. 

▪️ Working in close co-operation with other countries, especially with Sweden and with the main service center. Former experience working with Sweden or Baltic countries is seen as an advantage. 

▪️ Financial reporting. Some reporting is done at monthly basis, but in Terramare the main focus in reporting is with quartal reports. The language used is mainly English, however, the financial statements are prepared in Finnish.

Your team will consist of skilled financial personnel and you’ll report directly to a Finance Director. At Terramare, we always strive to provide meaningful tasks and inspiring projects. We take into account your experience and background when considering your role in the team.

Briefly about your background 

  • To succeed in this role, we are looking for an experienced professional with 5+ years of relevant experience with for example financial accounting, taxes, audits, transfer pricing, compliance, and reporting.
  • Strong skillset and knowledge with transfer pricing and financial statements.
  • Completed relevant higher education degree.
  • Fluent communication and writing skills in both Finnish and English. Proficiency in Swedish is considered an advantage.
  • Skilled in financial management and reporting systems. Infor LN is the main system at Terramare, previous experience with it is considered as an advantage. 

Previous experience in consulting firms, good knowledge of IFRS, and skillsets with SAP are all seen as advantages in this position.
