We are looking for a Chief Engineer, Structural Analysis, to strengthen our Delivery Engineering team and ensure the success of Customer projects.
The position is located in Espoo, Finland.
What you’ll do
- Plan and lead the structural analysis work in global equipment delivery projects
- Develop and upkeep calculation tools
- Assure that the material selection and use are economical, sustainable, and fulfill customer specifications.
- Participate in engineering meetings with customers and external engineering offices
- Provide technical support for internal customers from sales, product development, delivery, installation and services
- Outsource structural analysis work to a network of subcontractors when needed
Who you are
- M.Sc. or B.Eng. degree in mechanical engineering – 5-10 years of experience in equipment engineering, with in-depth
understanding of structural analysis methods
- Strong know-how on FE analyses (preferred Ansys). CFD or DEM are considered advantages.
- Basic experience in using CAD and PDM tools (preferably AutoCAD 2D, SolidWorks 3D, SolidWorks PDM, and Enovia PLM)
- Ability to read and interpret Technical Drawings.
- Understanding of legislation, international standards, and regulations such as API 650, Eurocode, ASCE 7, PED, and ASME BPVC
- Project-oriented working methods and an ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Capability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
- Good cooperation, team-leading skills, and ability to work with people from different cultures.
- Good communication skills in spoken and written English. Finnish is considered as an advantage.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites/fabricator workshops
