We are looking for a Chief Engineer, Structural Analysis, to strengthen our Delivery Engineering team and ensure the success of Customer projects. 

The position is located in Espoo, Finland.

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Plan and lead the structural analysis work in global equipment delivery projects 
  • Develop and upkeep calculation tools
  • Assure that the material selection and use are economical, sustainable, and fulfill customer specifications.
  • Participate in engineering meetings with customers and external engineering offices
  • Provide technical support for internal customers from sales, product development, delivery, installation and services 
  • Outsource structural analysis work to a network of subcontractors when needed

 

Who you are

 

  • M.Sc. or B.Eng. degree in mechanical engineering – 5-10 years of experience in equipment engineering, with in-depth

understanding of structural analysis methods

  • Strong know-how on FE analyses (preferred Ansys). CFD or DEM are considered advantages.
  • Basic experience in using CAD and PDM tools (preferably AutoCAD 2D, SolidWorks 3D, SolidWorks PDM, and Enovia PLM)
  • Ability to read and interpret Technical Drawings.
  • Understanding of legislation, international standards, and regulations such as API 650, Eurocode, ASCE 7, PED, and ASME BPVC 
  • Project-oriented working methods and an ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Capability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
  • Good cooperation, team-leading skills, and ability to work with people from different cultures.
  • Good communication skills in spoken and written English. Finnish is considered as an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites/fabricator workshops
