Chief Accountant
You will be responsible for named subsidiaries general ledger accounting processes for designated subsidiaries and execute period-end reporting tasks in compliance with local accounting standards, IFRS, and internal guidelines. Additionally, you will promote standardized practices across the team and ensuring that all tasks are delivered in accordance with established processes and instructions.
Another key part of your role is to harmonize and enhance general accounting processes and tools, as well as actively participating in system development initiatives and development- and M&A projects.
You collaborate broadly with colleagues, internal teams and external partners such as auditors, tax authorities and system vendors, and other stakeholders in various forums.
You will report to Senior Manager, Record to Report and you will be a valuable member of Finance Operations organisation. This permanent position is located in Vaarala, Vantaa, where we work mainly onsite. The role requires occasional travel, mainly to other Nordic countries.
What you’ll bring to the team?
Your problem-solving skills and forward-looking and positive mindset combined with development focus will be invaluable in this fast-paced, energetic and valued role. Previous experience from SAP FICO, advanced skills in Excel, preferably experience in Power BI and good communication as well as presentation skills are essential.
Your professionalism is based on a suitable education in finance, solid external accounting knowledge and several years of practical experience with various accounting tasks, including preparing local Financial Statements. Process development and project work are also very familiar to you. You are accurate and have eyes for details, but you are also able to see the big picture. You are known as a supportive and positive team member, with good people skills. As we support Fazer companies and business units in different countries, in addition to the Finnish and/or one of the Scandinavian languages, a good command in English is required.
