We are looking for a Risk Officer or Senior Risk Officer, who will contribute to delivering a robust testing framework within Regulatory Risk areas in Danske Bank, especially focusing on regulatory related risks.
The Business Controls and Product Management (BCPM) department is central in supporting the Business in reaching its strategic goals with reporting lines to the heads of the three business units: Large Corporates & Institutions, Business Customers and Personal Customers.
The Regulatory Risk Testing team manages testing for regulatory risk across all Business Units.
About the role – Develop, implement and manage testing
Core Functions is an independent 1st LoD (Line of Defence) control testing unit within BCPM, separate from the control ownership and operation in the business units, with the aim to ensure that controls are designed and operated effectively. You will work closely with colleagues within BCPM at all levels as well as key stakeholders from 1st, 2nd and 3rd LoD. Your tasks will include:
- Develop, and implement comprehensive control testing for regulatory risks incl. test scripts for key controls, test frequency, etc.
- Analyse and interpret testing results to highlight areas of experience and improvement for regulatory risks across Business areas.
- Identify opportunities for test automation for key controls and work in partnership with the teams across Core Functions.
- Support escalation of test results and monitoring for Senior Management and Governing Risk Committees.
Your profile – A collaborative and driven approach
You are an experienced finance risk professional, or perhaps you have been working with governance, regulatory or legal processes in the banking industry. You have knowledge of financial products, processes or other relevant experience and know how to combine risk management principles with the needs of the business. Furthermore, you bring:
- non-financial risk management experience with particular emphasis on regulatory risk.
- the ability to look beyond the numbers and identify the underlying risk drivers and trends.
- proficient written communication skills to convey complex findings in a short and easily understandable manner.
- fluency in spoken and written Swedish and English.
