Introduction

 

We are now looking for an Automation Engineer / Lead Automation Engineer to be part of our Anode Casting product team. The key automation technologies that you will work with are PLC systems (HMI, PLC, fieldbus, remote IO), servo drives and sensors. Your daily work consists of working with client delivery projects, product development, and product management functions. The position can be tailored to fit your experience and work background. In this role, you will report to Director, Anode Casting Product Group. 

 

This position is mainly located in Espoo, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. This position requires travel to clients for short meetings and also for longer periods during equipment installation and start up. 

 

Team you belong to 

 

In our team you get to work with world leading anode casting technology delivering casting systems all around the globe. You will work in close cooperation with many different stakeholders, such as product managers, project managers, design engineers, clients and suppliers. 

 

What you do in delivery projects: 

 

  • Lead and do equipment design work (HW & SW) in cooperation with our automation engineers
  • Inspect and FAT test manufactured equipment in our workshop in Outokumpu
  • Participate in project meetings and in equipment installations and startups at client locations
  • Drive productization and continuous development to improve the quality and cost effectiveness of our deliveries
  • Act as an expert in our core competence, casting automation

What you do in product management:

 

  • Update product master documentation according to the changes made in delivery projects and in product development
  • Support services and spare parts sales and delivery
  • Collect product improvement ideas from internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage product automation development requirements
  • Participate in product development projects and in defining sales specifications
  • Follow automation technology development

Who you are 

 

  • You have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Automation or Electronics or similar
  • You have previous experience in automation design, PLC and servo drives programming (Preferably Siemens)
  • You collaborate and communicate efficiently at all levels of the organisation
  • You can easily develop strong, trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results
  • You want to develop yourself to a global level expert in automation and in anode casting
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English
