We are looking for an Airship Operations Supervisor to join our team. In your role, you will make sure that our airship operations are done on time and they follow all the regulations needed. Together with other team members, you ensure that flight missions are successful.
Your most important tasks:
- You plan missions and direct the pre-flight checks and set-up of the airship, possibly multiple missions at the same time.
- You also direct ground crew during pre-flights, ship-up, landing, and post-flights
- Communicate with the Air Management Cell and other airspace users. For example, you manage airspace and temporary danger areas.
- Ensure the safety of operations and respect standards and procedures. Aviation is a regulated field, and diligence in this part is super important.
What We Expect From You:
- You are a very diligent person. You have experience working methodically with standards and procedures. We want to underline that this role is not for someone with problems in focusing on detailed stuff.
- You have a general curiosity about technology and unmanned aviation.
- You have professional work experience in something detail-oriented, such as operations planning, supervising processes, etc. Engineering degree is considered as a plus but not mandatory.
- You communicate well in written and spoken Finnish and English.
- We think someone with a good background is passionate about drones or similar gadgets. Prior work experience is valued, but it can also be from other domains. We want to find someone who we can trust.
- Clean criminal record.
Location: Airships are operated from ground stations across Finland, and this role can sit either in Tampere or Joensuu. The work takes place mostly at the office (in Tampere, we are about to rent one soon, and in Joensuu, the factory has good spaces for work).
We will guarantee you an adventure that has yet to be done in Nordics. You will develop, have highs and lows, and produce the most incredible stuff floating in the air. We also have our people covered with an excellent team and career opportunities.
Knowledge of the Finnish language is not mandatory, but you must be able to communicate in English to work with our international airship development team. We can provide a salary of 3500-4000€ / month depending on your expertise.
