We are seeking an experienced Integration engineer who specialises in building reliable, scalable messaging and integration solutions for a permanent position.
Euroclear Finland is launching an IT upgrade, modernising the wider Nordic region’s financial market infrastructure. Our Nordic transformation program aims to moderinse and seamlessly integrate the Euroclear Sweden CSD system into common Nordic ecosystem by 2030.
As part of the Euroclear Finland’s Technical Infrastructure team within IT, you’ll work with skilled professionals and report to our Head of Infrastructure team, Finland, Mika Kulmakorpi.

Your responsibilities
As a Senior Integration Engineer, you’ll be in the engine room of it all: designing, shipping, and operating IBM ACE and IBM MQ flows that the market will rely on for decades.
You will play a vital role in keeping essential financial market operations running smoothly by creating and supporting messaging systems that can handle large volumes of data quickly and efficiently between both internal and external platforms. Your work will help ensure that post-trade processes, such as settlements and reporting, operate securely and reliably at all times, providing continuous, uninterrupted service for market participants.
In this role you will

Design, develop, and maintain messaging integrations using IBM MQ and IBM ACE.

Build and support integrations between internal and external systems across a variety of interfaces and communication protocols (REST, SOAP, MQ, file-based, event-driven, etc.).

Implement and optimize message flows, transformations, and routing logic within IBM ACE.

Ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance message exchange across distributed environments.

Apply modern development and integration patterns, including event-driven architecture, message queuing, microservices, and reusable integration components.

Collaborate with architects and other developers to design integration solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

Responsible for troubleshooting, monitoring, and optimising messaging and integration components. Duties include participating in monthly on-call rotations, operating on a 24/5 schedule, with each shift spanning two to three days.

Create and maintain technical documentation for message flows, interface specifications, and integration designs.
What we are looking for
Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience with IBM ACE (message flows, ESQL, mapping nodes, adapters, connectors).

Solid background in application development using languages such as Java, C#, Python, or similar.

Good understanding of integration protocols (REST, SOAP, JMS, MQ, SFTP, file-based, webhooks).

Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns (message routing, transformations, pub/sub, orchestration).

Experience working with CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and Git-based workflows.

Strong hands-on experience with IBM MQ (queue managers, messaging patterns, monitoring, troubleshooting).

Strong analytical mindset and the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.

Strong communication skills both in Finnish and in English

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of cloud services (Azure/AWS/GCP) is a plus, particularly cloud-based messaging or integration offerings.

At least 5–10 years of experience as an Application Integration Developer, with background working with different integration and application server platforms

Experience maintaining 24/7 mission-critical systems

Excellent communicator with a sociable attitude, capable of thriving even in high-pressure situations

Works well in teams as well as independently

Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to set priorities

Motivated and influential, capable of driving coordinated results

Familiarity with networks, scheduling and workflow tools, security, and databases is a plus

Experience or knowledge in the financial and post-trade securities industry is an asset.
