About the role
As Finance Partner, you work at the intersection of business, finance, and operations. You will challenge, support, and improve the company’s financial backbone from daily processes to exit-readiness. You will manage our external accounting partner, ensure internal controls and compliance are up to date, and dive deeply into our numbers to extract insights that matter.

The Senior Financial Partner’s primary focus is to support Fonecta’s most profitable and growing business 020202 Ratkaisut Oy in financial topics. Besides that the Senior Financial Partner provides support is to all Fonecta group companies in selected financial and control areas. In this role, you will report to Lena Jeding, the Group Head of Accounting and collaborate closely with teams across our operations in both Finland and Sweden. English is our corporate language, and some travel is part of the role. The head office of Fonecta is in Helsinki and primary location for this role can be in Turku, Tampere or Helsinki.
Your key responsibilities:
Own and develop core finance processes

Ensure financial processes remain up to date, controlled, and well-documented.

Strengthen internal controls and build structures that support scale and potential exit scenarios.

Oversee day-to-day Finance Operations and ensure consistency, quality, and compliance.

Ensure a strong and efficient collaboration with the auditor.
Manage the accounting firm with assurance and clarity

Act as the primary point of contact for our external accounting partner in the day-to-day operations.

Take ownership of deliverables, month-end quality, deadlines, and alignment with business needs.

Challenge, guide, and set expectations to ensure high-quality accounting output.
Dig deep into numbers and understand their business meaning

Analyse financial data beyond the surface and understand what drives results and where risks or opportunities lie.

Ensure master data quality and accuracy across systems and reports.
Drive systems, reporting and automation

Oversee finance systems (consolidation), integrations and finance master data governance.

Collaborate closely with reporting teams and business stakeholders to improve data flows and automation.

Ensure financial information is reliable, timely, and decision-ready.
Support finance operations and corporate development

Prepare cash flow, liquidity planning and manage day-to-day banking matters.

Prepare investor reporting and materials for leadership.

Support mergers, demergers, restructurings, and broader corporate development topics.

Handle correspondence with authorities and maintain document archiving.
What you bring

+ 5 years experience in finance, accounting, or financial operations with a strong understanding of data integrity and financial quality.

Proven ability to take ownership and manage external partners, especially accounting firms.

A structured and process-driven mindset – you enjoy creating clarity, structure, and control.

Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions in english and in finnish.

Analytical, proactive, and comfortable working both hands-on and on a strategic level.

Previous experience from international business and group level is a plus.
