About your role
As a Sustainability Manager you will play a key role in driving Orion Pharma’s commitment to social responsibility within the pharmaceutical industry. You will further strengthen our social responsibility efforts by developing and implementing our value chain roadmap together with internal and external stakeholders focusing especially on sustainability due diligence and human rights.
In this role, you will combine strategic insight with hands-on implementation, providing expertise and taking an active role in executing Orion Pharma Sustainability Agenda and advancing its social responsibility objectives. You will help ensure alignment with our sustainability commitments while collaborating across the organization to identify, manage, and develop initiatives related to social responsibility.
In addition, you will participate in selected projects, coordinate cross-functional initiatives, and support broader sustainability efforts to ensure continuous progress and development of Orion Pharma Sustainability Agenda.
Your key responsibilities
- Collaborating and coaching across the organization to further develop and implement activities to deliver social responsibility roadmap and targets
- Enable group-level functions and business divisions to advance social responsibility in line with international frameworks, stakeholder expectations and regulatory requirements
- Actively engage to support integrating social responsibility into relevant group processes in relevant manner, and actively contribute to the development of sustainability due diligence process and ensure its effective implementation
- Stay up to date on relevant regulations, standards, and best practices, as well as managing and supporting the company in adhering to relevant requirements and expectations
- Collaborate and advise across functions and divisions to achieve common objectives such as sustainability due diligence, and contributing to key initiatives such as sustainable procurement.
- Acting as a subject matter expert in social responsibility & building awareness internally and externally
- Support the business stakeholders in understanding and managing their risks related to social responsibility
- Manage, coordinate, develop, and support social responsibility reporting as part of the CSRD process, contributes to sustainability communications and address stakeholder questionnaires on social responsibility topics
- Representing Orion Pharma in relevant industry forums and interactions with key stakeholders
In our team of six sustainability professionals, you will work in a multidisciplinary way, constantly developing Orion Pharma’s sustainability. The role will offer an opportunity to work in close cooperation with experts across compliance, supply chain, quality and HR. In addition to development projects, you also manage routines and can produce quality reports and studies. Project management is natural for you, and you stick to agreed deadlines.
This is a full-time and permanent position, where you will work as a Sustainability Manager as part of group-level Sustainability function and report to the Director, Sustainability.
You’ll have the flexibility to work in a hybrid model, following Orion Pharma’s guidelines, which include currently three days a week in the office. You can be located at Espoo or Turku.

Our expectations
- Academic master’s degree in social sciences or another relevant field
- A couple of years of relevant work experience in social responsibility and its integration to business processes and environment
- Strong subject matter expertise in social responsibility, business and human rights, and sustainability due diligence processes
- Accountability and the capability to execute comprehensive action plans, but also manage routines and working hands on
- Excellent communications and engagement skills, including the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and easy-to-understand language to a range of audiences
- Successful performance in the position requires good proficiency in Finnish and English

You thrive on collaboration actively partnering with experts and key stakeholders both within Orion Pharma and externally.
