We at Clevry are looking for a Financial Master Data Subject Matter Expert (SME), Record-to-Report (R2R) to join our client, Fortum’s Finance Development team in their Group Finance. The position is full-time and permanent. You will be employed directly by Fortum. The work will begin as soon as the right candidate is found, no later than August 2025.

About the role

As a Financial Master Data SME, R2R, you will lead the development of financial master data management processes within Fortum’s finance function. You will have a key role in shaping and implementing new master data practices and tools as part of Fortum’s ERP renewal program over the coming years. Your responsibility is to ensure that master data is accurate, aligned with business needs, and compliant with global standards and policies.

Working closely with business and functional stakeholders, you will drive improvements and enable high-quality data governance throughout the organization.

Your key responsibilities include:

•\tDriving seamless end-to-end process design and implementation for financial master data within the R2R process area

•\tActing as a subject matter expert in the ERP renewal project, including process design and implementation

•\tDefining and blueprinting ERP functionalities for financial master data

•\tEnsuring high data quality, operational transparency, and continuous improvement

•\tCollaborating with IT and finance teams to align processes across the business

•\tSupporting stakeholders with training and explanation of master data-related processes

•\tManaging cross-functional communication and contributing to change management activities

What we expect

•\tA suitable degree in accounting, technology, or related field

•\tSeveral years of relevant experience in consulting, finance, or process development

•\tProven experience in master data management and governance, preferably in a global organization

•\tDemonstrated ability to drive change and manage complex implementations

•\tExperience in designing and delivering ERP data solutions

•\tAbility to work independently and navigate a matrix organization

•\tStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

•\tExcellent communication and collaboration skills across functions

•\tFluent written and spoken English; other languages are considered an advantage

•\tSolid technical skills in ERP systems and financial tools

•\tProficiency in PowerPoint and Excel

•\tExperience in ERP transformation projects is a plus
