ChatGPT on yksi tunnetuimmista tekoälyistä. Sen kanssa voi jutella kuin ystävän kanssa. Se voi antaa neuvoja, mutta ei tee kaikkea puolestasi. Ajattele, että tekoäly on kuin polkupyörän apupyörät – se tukee ja auttaa, mutta sinä olet se, joka polkee ja päättää, minne mennään.

– Haastattelussa voit myös kysyä itse. Tekoäly voi auttaa sinua keksimään hyviä kysymyksiä yrityksestä tai työstä.

Muista aina tämä

Tekoäly voi olla tosi hyvä apuri, mutta tärkein asia työnhaussa olet sinä itse. Sinun persoonasi, sinun äänesi ja sinun kokemuksesi tekevät hakemuksesta oikeasti mielenkiintoisen. Tekoäly on vain työkalu, joka auttaa sinua loistamaan kirkkaammin.

The Flow Cytometry unit is one of the HiLIFE life science research infrastructures at the University of Helsinki. The unit operates at two locations: the Viikki Flow Cytometry unit on the Viikki campus and the Biomedicum Flow Cytometry unit on the Meilahti campus.

We invite applications for a fixed term Laboratory coordinator position at the Flow cytometry unit. We are seeking a new team member, preferably with a background in flow cytometry, to support customers with their flow cytometry experiments. The person will contribute to the maintenance of the unit and participate in daily maintenance of the instrumentation. The role encompasses a variety of tasks, the exact work profile will be tailored based on the selected candidate’s background. The tasks will include:

Assisting users with the operation of flow cytometers
Performing maintenance and calibration of instruments
Preparing and supporting the analysis of flow cytometry data
Providing customer assistance for data analysis
Staying current with advancements in the field through training and education
Conducting training sessions for users

The position includes work tasks at both campuses, Viikki and Meilahti. The location will be either on both campuses or Meilahti based.

YOUR PROFILE

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or a related discipline
Fluenct in English
Experience in flow cytometry
Experience in data analysis is an asset
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
A service-oriented mindset and a genuine interest in working with diverse stakeholders

SALARY AND CONTRACT

The position is offered for a fixed term until end of 2028 or as negotiated. Salary will be based on the university salary system and depend upon the applicant’s level of skills, knowledge, and abilities. A trial period of 6 months will be applied.
