PROCESS SPECIALIST, SUSTAINABILITY

We are now looking for a new Process Specialist to join our global Operational Excellence in a permanent position. Your location is ideally at our head office in Helsinki, but other Lindström operating countries in Europe can also be considered as an option. 

Your key contribution areas

As our new Process Specialist in Sustainability, you will get an exciting opportunity to support Lindström’s sustainability strategy in reaching our goal of carbon neutrality. You will be in a key position to strengthen the sustainable development of our services by preparing long-term plans to improve energy efficiency. Your key responsibilities include:

  • CSRD related data collection, analyses, and reporting
  • Collecting and analysing wastewater parameters, and supporting operations with possible solutions in case of exceeding limit values 
  • Maintaining and developing Lindström’s Environmental Management System
  • Leading environmental audits and compiling internal environmental reports
  • Carrying our LCA and CO2 emission calculations and process data analyses
  • Conducting internal trainings on sustainability processes, as well as preparing training and communication materials

 

What helps you to shine in this role?

We are looking for a new team member who understands environmental and sustainability regulations and their demands on businesses, and who has a keen interest towards increasing the understanding and capabilities of both internal and external stakeholders. We expect you to have good project management skills alongside strong data interpretation and problem-solving abilities. You are a proactive and analytical person who understands how resource efficiency ties into a sustainable business environment. 

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Academic degree from relevant field, e.g. Environmental Engineering
  • At least 3 years of working experience in relevant environmental and sustainability matters
  • A solid understanding of wastewater treatment equipment and processes
  • Knowledge of and experience in working with environmental laws, regulations, and standards
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills, with strong Finnish skills seen as a benefit

 

Your key people

You will be a part of our global Operational Excellence team which plays a key part in matters such as compliance, process efficiency, and sustainability. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Strategy, Sustainability, and Operations Development teams, as well as external factions such as EcoVadis and UNGC. We are a group of highly motivated people who are passionate about reaching our common goals and ensuring our processes are as sustainable as possible.
