Your new role and team
With Ramboll, you will have a strong position in a global company where you get to work with the best in the sector and develop your talent in due diligence. You will join our Finnish Compliance & Risk Management Department and as a lead consultant, you will be part of a small, growing team engaged on development and delivery of EHS and ESG due diligence client projects.
As Ramboll is a recognized global leader in the provision of environmental and ESG due diligence, you will also have access to our thriving European DD technical practice network, regularly engaging with diligence colleagues across 12 European countries to deliver and improve our practice, and to provide support for your role. The European DD technical practice network also have regular exchanges with technical teams from North America and APAC areas.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will be
The ideal candidate for this position will bring extensive consulting experience to enhance Ramboll’s EHS and ESG due diligence service capabilities. The position can be tailored to your preferences: it can involve leading a small group of dedicated experts or have a sole focus of driving commercial and technical targets of DD projects without direct leadership responsibilities. No matter what your preference is, we expect you to provide local commercial and technical leadership on diligence opportunities, driving and levering trustful relations both with our potential new and existing clients.
About you

- Your expert understanding and a demonstrable both commercial and technical track record of due diligence projects for a possible range of financial, industrial and legal clients.
- A proven track record of successful business development through creating long-term trusted client relationships, resulting in recurring high value instructions.
- Project management and technical leadership capabilities of EHS and/or ESG assessments in a due diligence context.
- You will have developed expert understanding of M&A deal mechanics and key buy-side and sell-side considerations.
- Ideally you have detailed knowledge of key environmental (and preferably some health&safety) Finnish and European regulations, and the development of M&A DD practice and associated implications for financial and industrial clients.
Your success is ensured by having a passion and enthusiasm that instils positivity and inspires others, having an outstanding ability to communicate through listening and actively seeking advice from others. The position requires confidence to act proactively and take initiative and at times, working flexible hours when required. By the very nature of due diligence, it is essential that the candidate has strong organisational and communication skills and excellent attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be based in/near Helsinki, predominantly to facilitate face to face client relationship building and networking. However, with our flexible hybrid working policy we welcome all candidates who are able to regularly travel to Helsinki.
