Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Specialists, AFRY – Vantaa


Job Description

We are looking for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Specialists to work at the AFRY Financial Service Centre and to be responsible for Invoice Processing and Accounts Receivable for our customers in Europe. The position is full-time.

Work tasks might include, and are not limited to:

  • Handling purchase invoices
  • Customer service (inside AFRY Companies)
  • Guidance / trainings for internal stakeholders
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Month-end closings
  • Back-up tasks for other AP/AR colleagues
  • Travel claims

There are two different open positions, one for Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist and one for Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist. As an AP specialist you will check purchase invoices, communicate with other AFRY’s employees, and guide them with the coding of invoices, and collaborate with other teams. A candidate should be able to teach larger groups of employees how to use our invoice processing system. As an AR specialist, the work includes processing bank statements, reporting, handling month-closings, and working with different systems. In this position you will cooperate with accountants and other teams on a daily basis.

Your main location will be Vantaa. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer relocation services so you would need to be based in Finland and have a valid work permit. On boarding will be held fully at Vantaa office.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you have:

  • A degree in Finance or Accounting (e.g. vocational qualification or bachelor’s degree in business). If the degree is in Business, the Major should be Finance or Accounting
  • Enthusiasm towards financial services and previous experience in a similar position
  • Proficiency in English. Our team is international, and our common working language is English
  • Knowledge in Finnish is mandatory for the AP position, and an advantage in the AR role.
  • Other languages such as German, Norwegian, or Swedish are considered an advantage
  • Experience in banking and/or financial systems is mandatory
  • Experience in Medius or Basware IP, and travel claim handling is big plus 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Teams is a must. The usage of other Microsoft applications is a plus
