We are looking for a UX/Technical Writer to further strengthen our Documentation team. We are offering a 12-month fixed-term contract for this position.
What you will be doing
As a Technical Writer, your main task is to create easily understandable user guidance that communicates how both technical and non-technical M-Files users can get the most value out of M-Files. You design new user interface texts and contribute to the overall product user experience during the product design process to make M-Files feel highly approachable. You update the M-Files guides to help our users find the right information at the right time. You work in close cooperation with other Technical Writers, UX Designers, Product Managers, Developers, and other stakeholders.
In addition, your tasks include:
- Reviewing customer-facing product documentation
- Managing translations with a localization vendor
- Translating documentation and user interface texts to Finnish
- Participating in and contributing to internal development projects
What we expect from you
- University degree, such as M.A. or M.S.
- 1+ years of relevant working experience in technical communication
- Proficiency in navigating complex software environments and using different tools, systems, and processes
- Ability to transform complex technical information into easily understandable and accessible guidance
- Excellent communication skills in English and Finnish
- Passion for collaboration and great user experience
In addition, these are an advantage:
- Capability to write content according to the DITA standard
- Experience with Oxygen XML Editor, SDL Passolo, memoQ, Git, and WalkMe
- Experience with Figma or some graphics software
- Experience in Simplified Technical English (ASD-STE100)
